F.R.E.E Baby Shower Games

The “Can You Remember?” Game
Before the party, place several new baby items such as baby shampoo, cotton balls, bottle nipples, baby cloths, soft baby toys, rattle, diaper, and other items related items on a large tray and display this on your coffee table or on the kitchen table, wherever the guests are likely to see it as they arrive. When it is time to play party games, start by giving each guest paper and pen/pencil, but do not tell them why they need them.
Then take the tray away. Now ask your guests to write down what they remember seeing on the tray. They don’t have to remember the brand name, just the description of the item. The guest who remembers the most items wins. In case of a tie, ask the guests to then write down brand names or colors of the objects and the guest who remembers the most detail wins (or give all the guests with the same score a party favor!) When the game is over, give the items on the tray to the mother-to-be as a shower gift.

Tasting Game
Before the party, remove the labels from several jars of baby food and secretly record what each jar contains. (Hint: Use a black magic marker to write A, B, C, etc., on the jar lids. Then write the corresponding letter on the back of the label you removed. Save the labels.) At party time, gave each guest a spoon and have them taste the baby food. The one who can name the most food correctly wins. (Since you have removed the labels and opened the jars, you must discard the remaining food. Do not give opened jars of baby food to the mother-to-be. You might want to buy two of everything and then give the labeled, unopened jars to the mother-to-be as a reminder of a fun game!)

Baby Name
At party time, give each guest paper and pen. Tell them to write down as many baby names as they can in a minute’s time (you should have a watch with a second hand, or a digital display to use as a timer). The one who can come up with the most names wins. (Hint: have a “Baby Names” book to give to the mother-to-be as a memento of the game!)

Memories
On the invitations ask each guest to bring one baby item from their past, either something they or their children wore or played with. Have each person tell the story behind the item. Have the guest vote on the best story to pick the winner. As a gift for the mother-to-be, give her a “Baby’s First Year” memory book that she can use to record memories of her baby.

Keep the Egg
Have enough eggs on hand so that each guest will have an egg. Before the party, tie a different colored ribbon around each egg. As the guests arrive, or once all the guests have arrived (but before all the games begin), give each guest an egg and tell them to protect the egg as if it were their baby. Tell them they may set the egg down, but they must have the egg at the very end of the party. Before the guests start to leave, ask the guest to return their egg in exchange for a party favor.
Then stand back and see how many still have their eggs (or if they remembered where they set them down!) and if they want to keep the egg or exchange it for a gift. Don’t be surprised if some guests have named their egg and decide to keep egg instead of taking the party favor! As a memento for the mother-to-be, you can use one of those empty plastic Easter eggs and stuff it with a few pairs of baby socks or anything that will fit inside the egg.

So what's with the latest buzz words?

You have heard it everywhere! Social media, social networking, blah, blah, blah!:)

Although I like the "new" name for this already been going on for years called networking, these buzz words are just that; buzz words. You see there is nothing complicated about it, us WAHM's ( work at home mom's) we have been using this tool for years.

NETWORKING as I have known it for the last ten years is what we do.The WAHM community was the first to come up with ways to market their business cheaply. That is in a sense of what's being done. Advertising you're business without spending money is networking! Let's be real here folks, you are advertising, everyone on the Internet is trying to make a buck. This is not to say I have not formed some great relationship's (because I have) but let's just call it was it is please!

Having done both, paid huge amounts for PR service's, and just plain old fashion networking both work and one just costs more!

So whether you are on yahoo groups, Facebook, Twitter, Ning, Myspace, Ryze, Discussion Forums, it's all the same and it's called NETWORKING and it's FREE! Just use it wisely to meet people so they can get to know the person behind the business.

Economy and your business

Article by:Mark Tewart
In the current economy many people and businesses are thinking in
terms of survival rather than prospering. Your current dominant
thought patterns accurately predict your future. The root of the
word scarcity is scared and success and money never follow fear.
The good news is that you can not only survive but thrive in this
or any other economy.

The first thing you must do to succeed is to change the questions
you ask yourself. Instead of asking how you can survive, ask
yourself how you can thrive. Look for problems and the opportunity
gaps created by the common problems that many are encountering.

Every problem brings great opportunity. The glass is not half empty
and the glass is not half full. The glass is always full. It's is
full of a mixture of liquid and air. It's only the limitations of
your philosophy and the training of your brain that keep you from
seeing that reality. However, most people feel they are being
positive if they see the glass as half full. The reality is you
must understand and embrace the concept that the glass is always
full for you to be able to see and recognize that fact.

When you completely eliminate the possibility for anything but
moving forward, succeeding and thriving, you will begin to
experience the results you desire. You will completely understand
and embrace any and all setbacks in your path as positive and
recognize the lessons learned from them and then adjust.

The key part of this equation is the philosophy of responsibility.
When you make a declaration to stop blaming any and all things for
your results but yourself, you will see more opportunity.
Your results and success are not based upon good or bad economies,
good or bad workplaces, good or bad teachers, good or bad bosses.
Your success is simply determined by you and you alone. You have
the free will to determine your thoughts philosophies and actions.

Massive success and massive failure have equal access and the seeds
of both are sewn as easy as flipping on a switch.
If you are suffering in this economy, ask yourself what allowed
your limitations to allow you or your business to be so negatively
affected.

One is a horrible number for business and success. Were
you depending on one revenue stream, one type of customer or one
product? Did you have a built in continuity program for your
business and income that tend to lessen the affects of economic
downturns? Have you looked to see if there is a business within
your business that can be explored, created or maximized? Have you
looked to speed up, slow down or create a different delivery
channel or experience in that channel?

The answers are always there but you have to ask the questions and
allow your imagination to attract or create the answer. Sometimes,
just working harder is more of a hindrance than an effective answer
to your problems. The hamster runs faster on the wheel but never
reaches a destination and just gets tired and quits. There are only
1,440 minutes in every day.

The answer comes in carving out a part of your day to simply be
still. Be still to allow your mind to ask questions, and seek
meditation for the answers. All thoughts create energy. That energy
will allow matching energy. However, you have to be willing to see,
feel and understand when those answers come your way. If you are
not ready, you may see the glass as half empty or half full but you
will never the see the glass as full. The full glass is always
there, you have to be looking for it to see it.

How to start a diaper and towel cake business

ARE YOU SERIOUS ABOUT STARTING AN ONLINE BUSINESS?
Follow your passion to start your own home-based business!

Let me show you how to jumpstart your business without going into debt. Ten years ago, I began my online business with very little monetary investment and the amazing thing is, the business paid for itself right from the start.

My associates call me the Diaper Cake Guru because, not only do I teach how to make wonderful diaper and towel cakes that create the “WOW!” effect but, I possess the experience and knowledge to provide the tools you’ll need to start you own online business. I can help you get started down the right path, so you can make things happen in your own business, quickly.

Ten years ago, I was a hardworking waitress with two small children at home. My family needed the second income to survive, but I was fed-up, dead-dog tired, and wasn’t able to give my husband and children the wife/mother I should be. I took my meager income and saved enough to purchase our very first computer. Would you believe I didn’t even know how to turn the darn thing on?

A lot has changed in ten years! I have since learned how to build my own website, write HTML, and have expanded my knowledge about SEO and targeted keywords. I am a life-long learner and have kept on top of the buzz trends in internet marketing and the social media revolution, all on a shoestring budget.

Due to the struggling economy, I have decided to give back to the community that has helped me become a successful business owner. I will share my own setbacks and mistakes along the road that morphed me from an employee to CEO of my own company. I could easily charge thousands for this workshop instead; I am targeting the average Jane, who wants to become a successful home-based business owner.

Here’s what you can expect during the classes:

• A private, one-hour consultation with me
• Weekly Teleseminars where we will discuss:
 Business start up strategies
 Your web presence in detail
 Support, training and much more

Sign up now for this limited time only, 4 week online workshop for an incredibly low $99.00! I could offer this workshop for free, but I have found that if people don’t invest in themselves, they are not 100% committed to the process. Prove you are serious, sign up now!

Weekly classes commence on January 19, and continue through February 9, 2009. Class sizes are limited; this price will expire after Jan 15, 2009. Registrations after Jan 17 , 2009 will incur a $20.00 late fee.

Top Five Reasons For Making Diaper Cakes My Way!

Diaper Cakes are becoming more popular for baby showers and newborn gift ideas. These cakes, which offer everything a new mom needs for her new bundle of joy, can make any baby shower unforgettable. Not only do they leave a lasting impression, but the new mother can use every item in the cake, from the blankets to the diapers, providing a fun and useful gift for the proud mom-to-be.

They can be made in different sizes, from one layer to three, depending on the size of the gift and the amount of money you want to spend.

Now you may ask, what makes my cakes so special?
Well, let me tell you! It's the method of putting them together. Instead of rolling or layering, my diaper cakes are put together using an easy to follow template. I give you step by step instructions that will give you a perfect cake each time you make one.

Below are my top 5 reasons for making diaper cakes using my proven method:

1. Easy to construct without rubber bands, tape, or dowels down the center.

2. My method saves you time, money and hassles.

3. With my construction technique, the layers all support one another insuring the best possible way to build a diaper cake.

4. Shipping your cake becomes much easier with my method. Because the layers support each other, you simply wrap your cake in cello, secure with bubble wrap and ship your beautiful cake right out without the need for special packaging or boxes.

5. The new Mom-to -be will be thrilled with such a unique yet practical gift. She will love the fact all she has to do is take the cake apart by taking out a few diaper pins.

Your hand crafted creation will look more professional pleasing to the eye and will insure that every item in that cake can be used. All new moms are pressed for time, spending half the day taking apart her beautiful gift by removing rubber bands, tape, dowels, and fishing string; often used with other methods is not on her top list of priorities.

With my method your diaper cake will be just what new Mommy will need, right at her fingertips and ready to use.My easy to follow instructions will show you how to make the perfect diaper cake in a snap with less money and time. Wouldn't this make the perfect handcrafted baby shower gift? Let me show you how!

Diaper cakes by Becca

Offers diaper cakes (like I would make:)
To purchase one of her cakes go Here
The thing that impressed me about Becca was her video I found on Youtube and is posted in this blog below.

Becca goes into great detail about her cakes. You see Becca does not use tape or string and found a great way to make her cakes, so the New-Mom-To-Be will actually use the cake and not get frustrated by trying to take apart the design, and more than likely not even be able to use the diapers. Cuz hey we all know every diaper counts, lol!

And as you can see HERE Quality is on her top list of priorities!
So next time you are in need of a great high end diaper cake visit Becca and she will take care of all your needs!
